What a beautiful story! I really like this one. From the looks, the plot, the direction, everything is just so charming that it will draw you in.
The story revolves around the Yannan and Beixuan regions. Jun Qi Luo is Jun Fei Fan (Angelababy), the illegitimate child of a family who is actually a girl, but a woman cannot run a business because it is a man’s world. The family has hidden her identity for many years, as well as the king. Her creative talent is what sustains the family business and helps the king during times of war.
Xuan Lie (Song Wei Long), from the neighboring country and Beixuan, who is not very emotional, is a royal general who is looking for the truth behind his parents’ murder, while also trying to win the Wolf Lord tournament. He believes Jun Fei Fan has knowledge of their murder and wants to capture him to get an explanation. Not knowing her true identity.
Crossing into Uncontrollably, they finally meet and through a series of events involving kidnapping, misunderstandings, hidden agendas, quarrels, and ultimately love. The couple has gone through many hardships during their love affair.
Xuan Lie and Luo Zhi Zhou have been best friends since childhood and are like brothers, but like brothers, they are jealous and deceitful. Xuan Lie, after investigating, discovers the real culprit who attempted to kill him several times, as well as the murder of Lord Sun, was none other than him. Why? To achieve the coveted title of Wolf Lord so that he could win his love - Consort Li, who was taken by the king to marry her. In the end, there is the sad death of Consort Li and his best friend.
Jun Qi Luo also has Shao Qi Min who has been by her side since she was 13. Always taking care of and protecting her, but unbeknownst to her, the king placed him by her side to report back to him if there was any lapse in her loyalty. She has always been loyal to the king. She never loved Shao Qi Min, but they loved each other as brothers. When they were separated, when she thought he was dead, she was taken as a slave by the princess Xuan Qing Kou. This princess will make you want to slap her hard because of how she treated him. I didn't think love could come from it, but in the end it did, sadly this togetherness was short-lived.
Xuan Lie and Jun Qi Luo still have many problems in finding each other and finding the peace that they not only want for themselves, but for their country as well. Showing that no matter what they try to do for each other, their unchanging love is what will and always will keep them together. A bond that even the closest friends or family can’t understand.
My only thought is all the romance she went through. It’s a wonder something didn’t happen to the baby. That’s one thing I don’t like. We never see the baby. We see our lovers together at the end, but I want to see the baby.
Overall, we get a happy ending, and oh, this can leave us wanting more, right?
But I have to shout out a few things:
Hair/Jewelry: The hair in this is everything. I wanted to do that hair, I got it. You all did it. Well done, and all the beads, all the jewelry, the intricacy of each look is special.
Costume: Can we talk about those costumes for Xuan Lie? Is he wearing those capes? Dude could fall off a cliff and still have that cape on. Every look they give him is better. JQL, her sisters, the princess and SSM, the general women, all their looks are so on point. They cut each other out of clothes.
Martial Arts: Love watching SSM and her fight scenes. It's so good to see them let her not need a man to help her. Bad girl. Xuan Lie, Shao Qi Min, Luo Zhi Zhou along with others have such amazing fight scenes. Please commend the people who put these sets together because we know they put in a lot of effort.
