After watching the first 5 episodes, I told myself I would wait for the proper subtitles first because I didn’t want to ruin my experience with the show, but I couldn’t help myself and watched the whole thing. I was intrigued by the story and the characters, even with the unclear subtitles, the show was still great!
The characters were well written. Our main and secondary characters are both strong, resilient, and virtuous. I really like stories with good, strong, and intelligent female leads, and this one definitely has that. The male lead is a typical prince, good at fighting, smart, and quick-witted, but he easily won my heart because he’s handsome (of course!) and plays that character perfectly. Our secondary male lead really impressed me with his character, cute, funny, but honest. I usually skip a few scenes in the second episode, but this one I couldn’t watch. I loved the interaction between Zhou Yue and Gao Mo, as well as Shen Yu and Qi Zhang.
If one day, proper subtitles come out for this drama, I will definitely watch it again! However, the story is so reasonable and strong that I can enjoy and understand it with sufficient understanding. It took me a long time to forget the fact that A' Yu will forever be 'A fish' and Gao Mo will forever be 'Tall Ink'. At least I don't have to endure 'Occipital cloud' (General Han's nickname) for too long lol XD!
