I tortured myself trying to get through this ridiculous drama, and I'm not sure why. This is a period drama - not a work of fiction, but there are many flaws in the poorly written script that make it unbelievably bad. There's also Riley Wang, who is a huge disappointment - not only in this one - but also in Song of the Moon, another C-drama with poor special effects, poor character development, and a seemingly directionless plot. The reason many of us switch to Japanese and Korean dramas is that they're not nationalistic dramas or completely ridiculous plots or stories with famous actors like A Romance of the Little Forest or Meet Yourself, which are so boring that they can cure insomnia. Another big flaw is the 5-10 minute dramas that pop up all over the place, with more time in the introduction and ending than the actual content. China, Zaijian!
